What to include on an award certificate

An award certificate answers three questions at a glance: which award, who won it and for what. The other rows make it look the part on the wall.

Element What to write
Award title The name of the award: Award of Excellence, First Place, Best in Category or your own award's name.
Line above the name Awarded to suits a prize; Presented to reads softer for team and company awards.
Winner The winner's full name, or the team name for a group prize. Better still, give every team member a certificate of their own.
What was won The placing or category and the event with its year, for example First Place, Under-14 Chess Open 2026.
Organiser The school, club or company running the competition, with its logo at the top.
Date and signatories The date of the final or the prize-giving, and one or two judges or organisers who sign by hand.

Spreadsheet

Certificates for every placing in one run

A competition rarely has a single winner: places, categories and age groups add up to dozens of certificates. DynaPictures reads your results sheet and makes one certificate per row in your own design, each saved as a PDF named after the winner.

  • Import the results from Excel or CSV
  • Placing and category filled in per row
  • One PDF per winner, ready to sign
