COE with compensation samples: salary and allowances
Each sample states the position, the employment status and the pay in pesos, then the purpose of the request. The first is the format with blanks in square brackets; the others are filled in for the requests payroll teams see most.

What to include in a COE with compensation
A lender or an embassy reads these figures next to payslips and tax records, so every amount must match payroll to the centavo.
| Element | What to write |
|---|---|
| Employee and position | Full name, position, date hired and employment status: regular, probationary or project-based. |
| Basic salary | The monthly basic salary in pesos with centavos, exactly as in payroll, for example PHP 38,000.00. |
| Fixed allowances | Each allowance by name and amount, such as rice, transportation, meal or communication allowance. |
| Variable pay | Commissions, night shift differential or overtime as a monthly average, with the months the average covers. |
| Annual compensation | Twelve months of basic salary plus the 13th month pay, which is one-twelfth of the basic salary earned in the calendar year (PD 851), and any guaranteed bonus. |
| Purpose | The loan, card or visa the COE supports, for example 'in support of her housing loan application'. |
| Signatory | The HR or payroll head who can answer a lender's call, with their typed name and position under a line signed by hand. |
Under DOLE Labor Advisory No. 06, Series of 2020, you issue a COE within three days of the employee's request. The COE it defines states the dates of employment and the type of work; pay is not part of that definition, so add the compensation lines when the employee asks for them.

COE with compensation on your letterhead
Three letterhead designs for a COE with pay details: your logo and company address in the header, the employee's name, position and dates in a panel, and the signatory's line at the foot. Add the salary lines in the editor.
COEs with compensation straight from payroll
When a partner bank opens a housing loan window or year-end visa requests pile up, payroll gets the same request from dozens of employees. DynaPictures fills your letterhead from a payroll export, one PDF per employee named after them, and the COE template opens in the editor as soon as you sign up.

How to prepare a COE with compensation
Ask what the requester needs
Check whether the bank or embassy wants the monthly pay, the annual compensation or both, and for which period.
Take the figures from payroll
Copy the basic salary, allowances and averages from the latest payroll run, and add up the total twice.
Sign and release it
Print it on letterhead, sign it by hand and release it within the three days DOLE allows for a COE.
COE with compensation FAQ
A certificate of employment that also states the employee's pay: the monthly basic salary, fixed allowances and often the annual compensation. Banks, card issuers and embassies ask for it to see that the applicant earns a regular income.
