Facebook Event Cover Photo Resizer

A Facebook event cover is a wide 1.91:1 header, and most photos arrive as 4:3 or 3:2, so the tops of heads and the edges of logos are the first things Facebook trims. Upload the picture, keep the box where it matters and download a 1920x1005 PNG that fills the header on desktop and in the app. 20 resizes a day, no account needed.

Event Marketing

The cover gets the event seen, the attendees get it filled

A Facebook event page spreads through the people who mark themselves as going, and each of them can post a far better picture than a repost of the cover. DynaPictures gives every registrant an I'm attending banner with their own name on it, made by a widget on your thank-you page and shared with a tracked link.

  • Name and photo filled in per person
  • Shares, clicks and conversions by channel

How to resize a photo for a Facebook event cover

1.

Upload the photo

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC up to 15 MB. The crop box opens at 1.91:1, the shape of the event header.

2.

Keep faces and text away from the edges

Facebook shows the cover smaller on phones; the dashed line in the preview marks the area that survives everywhere.

3.

Download and upload

Save the 1920x1005 PNG, open the event, choose Edit and replace the cover photo. The download stays available for 24 hours.

Why this Facebook event cover resizer

1920x1005 out of the box

The width and height the current size guides give for the event cover, so Facebook does not ask you to reposition after the upload.

No more cut-off heads

Face detection or your own box keeps people inside the frame instead of under the event title.

Preview before you upload

See the finished header at full size with the suggested safe area, the check Facebook's own uploader does not offer.

Free, 20 a day

Try several photos for the same event; no watermark, no sign-up, PNG output.

Facebook event cover photo size and safe area

The event cover photo is the header at the top of an event page. Current size guides agree on 1920x1005 pixels, a 1.91:1 ratio; Meta's help page explains how to add the photo but publishes no pixel figure, which is why the number comes from measuring what the page displays. Facebook accepts JPG and PNG and compresses what you upload, so start from a sharp source and keep text large. The header is shown narrower on phones and gets the event title laid over its lower part in some placements, so the preview's dashed line is the area to trust for text and logos.

Free usage
