Event Marketing

A Meetup grows by the members who tell their own network

Meetup groups fill their events through members who post about them, and a member posts when the graphic already says they are going and shows their face. DynaPictures makes that graphic per person from one template and gives each member a share page with a tracked link, so you see whose posts brought the RSVPs.

  • An I'm attending graphic per member
  • A share page that needs no login
  • RSVPs traced to the member who posted

How to resize a photo for a Meetup event

1.

Upload the photo

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC up to 15 MB. The crop box opens at 16:9, the shape of Meetup's event header.

2.

Frame the subject

Drag the box or let face detection centre the people; Meetup also shows the photo as a small card, so keep the subject big.

3.

Download and set the photo

Save the 1200x675 PNG, open the event on Meetup, choose Edit and upload it as the featured photo. The link is valid for 24 hours.

Why resize Meetup photos here

16:9 at 1200x675

The ratio Meetup displays and the size it documents for group covers, so the header fills without stretching.

Looks right in the small card too

The preview shows the full header; keep faces and text inside the dashed area and the listing thumbnail still reads.

Faces stay in

Face detection centres the crop on the people in a group photo when you do not drag the box.

Free, 20 a day

No watermark, no sign-up, PNG output, download link valid for 24 hours.

Meetup event photo size

Meetup displays an event's featured photo as a 16:9 header on the event page and reuses it, scaled down, in group listings, search and the emails it sends. Meetup's help centre documents 1200x675 pixels for a group's cover photo and the event header follows the same 16:9 shape, so this preset exports 1200x675; Meetup publishes no separate figure for the event photo, which is why the preview and the safe area matter more here than the exact pixel count. Keep the subject large and text short, because the photo is often seen as a thumbnail.

Free usage

One image up to 15 MB per run, 20 runs a day per visitor, PNG output; downloads are deleted after 24 hours.

Group cover photo

The same 1200x675 PNG works as the group's cover, which Meetup documents at exactly that size.

Beyond the header

The event photo is one picture. The posts members share about the event carry their names, which DynaPictures renders per member.

Meetup event photo questions

Meetup shows it at 16:9; this preset exports 1200x675, the size Meetup documents for group cover photos, which fills the event header too.
