Discord Event Cover Resizer

Discord's scheduled events take a cover image that the form says should be at least 800 by 400 pixels, but the event card displays a 2.5:1 band and trims the top and bottom of anything taller. Upload the picture, frame it in the locked 2.5:1 box and download a 1000x400 PNG that meets the minimum and shows in full. 20 resizes a day, no account needed.

Event Marketing

A community event fills when the members carry it outside the server

A Discord event reaches the server, and the members who post about it on LinkedIn or X reach everyone else. DynaPictures turns one design into a graphic per member with their own name, shared from a page without login, and reports which share brought the clicks.

How to resize an image for a Discord event cover

1.

Upload the image

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC up to 15 MB. The crop box opens at 2.5:1, the band Discord's event card displays.

2.

Frame the band

A 2.5:1 strip shows a slice of a photo; put the subject in the middle and check the preview at 1000x400.

3.

Download and set the cover

Save the PNG, open the event in Discord, edit it and upload the cover. The download link lasts 24 hours.

Why resize Discord covers here

Meets the 800x400 minimum

1000x400 clears the size Discord's form asks for while keeping the 2.5:1 proportions the card displays.

No top-and-bottom trim

Uploads taller than 2.5:1 lose their edges in the event card; a cropped 2.5:1 file shows in full.

Faces stay in the band

Face detection centres the strip on the people in a photo when you do not drag the box.

Free, 20 a day

No watermark, no sign-up, PNG output.

Discord scheduled event cover size

When you create a scheduled event in a Discord server the form asks for a cover image of at least 800 by 400 pixels; the event card then displays the picture as a 2.5:1 band, and users report that an 800x400 upload loses a strip at the top and bottom. A 2.5:1 file avoids that, and 1000x400 is the smallest 2.5:1 size that still satisfies the form's minimum, which is what this preset exports. Discord has not published an official pixel figure for the displayed band; the proportions here come from community measurements collected on 21 October 2026, so check the result on the card after uploading.

Free usage

One image up to 15 MB per run, 20 runs a day per visitor, PNG output; downloads are deleted after 24 hours.

Server banner and icon

A server banner and icon have other shapes; this preset is for the scheduled event cover only.

Outside the server

The cover lives in Discord. The graphics members post elsewhere carry their names, which DynaPictures renders per member.

Discord event cover questions

The form asks for at least 800x400; the card displays 2.5:1. This preset exports 1000x400, which satisfies both.
