Event Marketing

Your lineup shares the event, and every share reports back

A share button reaches people already on the event page, but new sign-ups come from those who post about the event to their own networks. DynaPictures Event Marketing gives each speaker and sponsor a share page with their banner and suggested text, mints a tracked short link per share and counts clicks by name.

  • A share page per speaker, sponsor or exhibitor
  • Suggested post text with their tracked link
  • Clicks bot-filtered and credited by name

How to create a share link

1.

Paste the page and the tags

Enter the URL of the event page, article or signup form. Add UTM source, medium and campaign to label the visits in your analytics; empty fields are left out.

2.

Pick the network and write

Choose LinkedIn, X, Facebook, WhatsApp or email. X, WhatsApp and email take up to 500 characters of text, email adds a subject, LinkedIn and Facebook take the link only.

3.

Copy, test and place it

Copy the share link for a button in your newsletter, or the HTML for a web page. The Open button tries the link in a new tab first.

Why build share links here

Five destinations, one form

LinkedIn, X, Facebook, WhatsApp and email, each in the format the network reads, from x.com/intent/tweet to a mailto link with a subject line.

UTM tags appended for you

Three optional fields add utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign to your page URL before it is encoded, so the visits from each network arrive labelled.

HTML ready to paste

Besides the raw link you get a link element that opens in a new tab, with the ampersands already escaped for HTML.

Test before you send

The Open button runs the link the way a reader would, so you see the network's dialog before your newsletter goes out.

Nothing leaves your browser

The link is assembled on your device. Nothing is uploaded or stored, there is no daily limit and no account to create.

What each network does with a share link

A share link is the address of a network's own share dialog with your page in it. LinkedIn's share-offsite dialog and Facebook's sharer take the URL only and ignore pre-filled text, so the person sharing writes the post. X's Post intent takes text and a URL: X shortens every link with t.co to 23 characters, and text plus link should stay within 280. WhatsApp puts text and link into one message and asks which chat to send it to, in the app or in WhatsApp Web. Email opens a new message with your subject and text in the reader's mail app. In every case the title and image of the preview come from your page's Open Graph tags.

Free limits

No daily limit and no login: the link is built in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded or stored.

No tracking of its own

The share link is the network's own address with nothing in between, so clicks are not counted here; UTM parameters are read by your own analytics.

The preview card

Networks build the card from og:title and og:image on your page. Check both with the free Open Graph Checker before you send the link out.

Share link questions

A link to a network's own share dialog with your page's URL in it, such as linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite/?url= or x.com/intent/tweet?text=&url=. Whoever clicks it gets the dialog with your page already filled in.

Free tools for the graphic your link carries

Make the picture people will post with your link: an I'm attending graphic, a speaker card, a LinkedIn banner or an email signature strip, plus tickets and badges.
