LinkedIn Share Link Generator

A LinkedIn share link opens LinkedIn's own share dialog with your page attached, so a speaker, sponsor or reader only adds their words and posts. Paste the URL of your event page or article, add UTM source, medium and campaign if you like, and copy the share-offsite link or the HTML for a LinkedIn button on your site or newsletter. Runs in your browser, no daily limit, no account needed.

Create your LinkedIn share link

Paste the page URL and copy the link. LinkedIn takes the link only, so the post text is typed in LinkedIn's own dialog.

Event Marketing

Speakers and sponsors post on LinkedIn from a page made for them

On LinkedIn a conference spreads through speakers and sponsors announcing they will be there, to colleagues your own page never reaches. DynaPictures Event Marketing gives every speaker and sponsor a share page with their personal banner and a caption to copy, and mints a tracked short link for each LinkedIn post.

  • Banners with name, photo, title and session
  • A caption to copy with their link inside
  • Clicks per person, bots filtered out

How to make a LinkedIn share link

1.

Paste the page URL

Use the event page, registration form or article you want shared. LinkedIn builds the preview card from that page's Open Graph title and image.

2.

Label the LinkedIn visits

Optionally fill in UTM source, medium and campaign, for example linkedin, social and the event name, so your analytics can separate this traffic.

3.

Copy the link or the HTML

Put the link behind a button in your newsletter or paste the HTML into your site. Open shows LinkedIn's dialog in a new tab first.

Why make LinkedIn share links here

The URL LinkedIn reads today

The link uses linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite with a single url parameter, the only value LinkedIn's share dialog takes from a link.

Clear about the post text

The form says plainly that LinkedIn takes the link only, so you put suggested wording next to your button instead of losing it in the URL.

UTM tags on your page URL

utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign are added before the URL is encoded, so visits from LinkedIn posts arrive labelled in your analytics.

A button without LinkedIn's script

The HTML is a plain link that opens in a new tab: no plugin and no script from LinkedIn loading on your page.

Free and private

Built in your browser with no daily limit and no sign-up; nothing you paste is uploaded.

How LinkedIn shares a link

LinkedIn's share-offsite dialog takes one parameter, the URL, and builds the preview from the page's og:title, og:description and og:image tags; a 1.91:1 image such as 1200x627 pixels fills the card. The person sharing writes the post in LinkedIn's dialog, with room for up to 3,000 characters. LinkedIn caches previews, so after changing a page's image or title, refresh the card in LinkedIn's Post Inspector before you send the link out. Anyone who is not signed in to LinkedIn is asked to sign in first.

Free limits

No daily limit and no login. The link is put together in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Suggested wording

Write the post text you would like people to use next to the button or in your email, ready to copy into LinkedIn's dialog.

Other networks

The same form builds the X, Facebook, WhatsApp and email versions of the link; switch the network and copy again.

LinkedIn share link questions

This tool makes something else: a link that opens LinkedIn's share dialog for a web page. Your profile link is linkedin.com/in/ plus your custom name; copy it from the address bar on your profile, or from Contact info on the profile in the app.
