Event Marketing

Invitations that travel through group chats, with clicks you can trace

Much of an event's word of mouth happens in WhatsApp groups, where a message from a colleague or friend carries more weight than any ad. DynaPictures Event Marketing adds one-tap WhatsApp sharing to every person's share page, with the phone's own share sheet on mobile and a tracked short link minted for each share.

  • One-tap sharing to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X and more
  • The phone's own share sheet on mobile
  • Clicks by channel, wave and country

How to make a WhatsApp share link

1.

Write the message

Type what the recipient should read, up to 500 characters. Line breaks and emoji are kept, and the link follows your text.

2.

Add the page

Paste the event page or registration form, plus UTM tags, for example whatsapp as the source and the event name as the campaign.

3.

Copy the link

Use it behind a WhatsApp button on your page or in an email, or copy the HTML. Open tries it in WhatsApp Web or the app.

Why make WhatsApp links here

Text and link in one message

Your words come first and the page URL after them, in a single message the recipient reads without opening anything else.

Phone or computer

api.whatsapp.com opens the WhatsApp app on a phone, and WhatsApp Web or the desktop app on a computer, with the message ready to send.

Works as a share button

The link names no phone number, so WhatsApp asks each person which chat or group to send it to.

Visits that are not lost

Clicks from WhatsApp often reach your site without a referrer; UTM tags on the page URL keep them labelled in your analytics.

Private and free

The message is encoded in your browser: nothing is uploaded or stored, and there is no daily limit.

How WhatsApp share links work

A link to api.whatsapp.com/send with a text parameter opens WhatsApp with that text in the message box. On a phone it hands over to the WhatsApp app; on a computer it offers WhatsApp Web or the desktop app. Because the link names no phone number, WhatsApp asks which chat or group to send to, and the message can still be edited before sending. When the page has Open Graph tags, WhatsApp can show its title and image as a preview with the link. Links that open one specific chat use the wa.me format with a phone number instead; this tool builds share links without one.

Free limits

No daily limit and no login. The message and link are encoded in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Short beats long

WhatsApp allows long messages, but an invitation reads best in two or three lines with the link at the end.

Check the preview

The free Open Graph Checker shows the card WhatsApp builds from your page, title and image included.

WhatsApp share link questions

Write the message in the form, paste your page URL and copy the result, an api.whatsapp.com/send?text= link. Clicking it opens WhatsApp with the message and link typed in.
