Put the 1080x1920 layout inside your own product

The DynaPictures image editor embedded inside another product

TikTok photo posts are made by whoever is closest to the content: a creator, a franchisee, someone behind the counter. The DynaPictures editor SDK, or a drop-in widget, puts that 1080x1920 layout inside your own app, so they add their picture and words while the clear strip you drew stays where it is.

How to resize a photo to TikTok size

1.

Upload the photo

Any orientation up to 15 MB. Vertical phone photos need almost no cropping; landscape shots are reframed around the people in them.

2.

Tick TikTok

Select the 1080x1920 preset. Repeat for each slide of a photo carousel, or tick Instagram story as well to reuse the same file there.

3.

Post from the app

Download the PNG, move it to your phone and pick it in the TikTok upload screen. The download link works for 24 hours.

Why this TikTok photo resizer

Full-screen 1080x1920

The 9:16 canvas TikTok uses for photo posts and video, so the image fills the display instead of floating on a black background.

Clear of the interface

The right rail (profile, like, comment, share) and the caption area at the bottom cover a lot of the frame. Face detection keeps people in the visible middle-left region.

Ready for carousels

TikTok photo posts hold up to 35 images that swipe horizontally. Resizing every slide to the same 1080x1920 keeps the carousel steady.

Sharp on high-density screens

1080 px wide matches the resolution TikTok serves to phones, so text and edges are not softened by an extra scale-up.

20 free images a day

Enough for a full carousel plus a few alternatives, without signing up.

TikTok photo dimensions and safe zone

TikTok displays photo posts and videos at 1080x1920 pixels, a 9:16 ratio, in JPG or PNG. Everything else is scaled to fit and padded with black bars. The interface overlays the top navigation (about 150 px), the action buttons down the right edge (roughly the rightmost 200 px) and the caption, username and sound information across the bottom (about 400 px). The area that remains reliably visible is therefore roughly 880x1370 px, offset toward the upper left. The resizer scales your image to cover the full 1080x1920 canvas and moves the crop so detected faces fall inside that zone; if no face is found the crop is centered. Use the free TikTok Safe Zone Checker afterwards to confirm text placement.

Free limits

One image up to 15 MB per run, 20 runs per day, PNG kept for 24 hours.

Carousels at scale

The daily limit is metered per visitor, the same number for everyone. Generating TikTok sized images from a template through the API, Zapier, Make or a spreadsheet is what DynaPictures does.

Same size, other apps

1080x1920 is also the Instagram story, Reels, YouTube Shorts and Snapchat format, so one export from this preset works across all of them.
